Harvest & History At Martial Cottle Park (Dog Friendly Event!)
We have helped countless buyers and sellers in Blossom Valley which makes us even more excited to announce a harvest happening in one of our favorite family neighborhoods: the Martial Cottle Park Fall Festival is this weekend! If you have not been to Santa Clara County’s newest park (which commemorates our county's oldest industry) – there is no better time than this annual free admission event filled with fun! Expect: local arts, crafts & food, live music, vintage auto & farm equipment, crafts for kids and of course… a pumpkin patch. Parking is $6 (walk or bike in at no cost!)

Take A Jaunt To The Jewel of Big Basin: Hike Berry Creek Falls
This is an incredible season to enjoy the nature that is all-abound but not oft-enough enjoyed here in Silicon Valley. If you would love to take a guided trek to the 65 ft. jewel of Big Basin known as Berry Creek Falls – this is your chance! Over 12 miles and 7 hours, you will experience a wide range of habitats; experience shady redwood canyons, climb dry ridges and breathe tons of fresh mountain air! *This is one of dozens of available events offered in October at Big Basin – there are dog friendly options too at the calendar link below. Pumpkins In The Pool: Los Gatos Recreation’s Floating Pumpkin Patch
This one is unique! Los Gatos Recreation is once again offering the rare opportunity for participants to plunge into the pool and pick the perfect pumpkin. Designed for ages 3 & up, this enjoyable afternoon includes music, prizes and pumpkin decorating. (Photos will also be taken and can be retrieved on Shutterfly.) Only $10 for pumpkin-pickers and $2 for bystanders! NOTE: Los Gatos Recreation offers many fun holiday activities this season including a Family Art Day, Snack w/Santa and Ice Village Building.

Handle It Hands-On AT The Tech Interactive
Chances are, the last time you visited – it was called the Tech Museum of Innovation. With a new name and a new mission, it is now called the Tech Interactive and is bolstering its hand on happenings via a partnership with Discovery Education. For example, the Birdly Exhibit offers an exclusive VR simulation that provides the closest thing possible to a bird flight with modern technology. The BioTinkering Lab provides opportunities to make material with microbes and more, while the always popular IMAX is now showing Superpower Dogs and Volcanoes: Fires of Creation. Don’t wait for a rainy day to try ALL that the Tech Interactive has to offer.

A Lively Day The Dead: Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos At The Mountain Winery
Just because concert season is just about over, does mean the celebrations have to stop. The Mountain Winery in Saratoga invites individuals and families of all ages to join in this vibrant, colorful Mexican tradition with entertainment, face painting, kids activities and authentic culinary offerings. Ticket prices include parking and activities, food is purchased separately.
